In 1975 Joe joined the U.S. Air Force. After the military, he spent twelve years with Garrett Aviation and another six years working as a Flight Engineer and Engine shop supervisor with MCI Flight Ops in Washington D.C. Just prior to joining Duncan Aviation, Joe worked for Dallas Airmotive Inc.

Joe is a licensed A&P mechanic. He is NDT certified level II for Penetrant, Magnetic and Eddy Current testing. He enjoys building relationships with operators and providing them with a customer service experience that they value.

Joe is married to Joanne. They have two sons, Jason and John. Joe's son, Jason, is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is married to Allyson and they have one daughter, Addison. Joe's other son, John, attends college. Joe enjoys spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. He was also the founder of a local in-line roller hockey league where he has served on the board and as coach and referee.
