Westwind Cabin Window Screw “Secret”
Duncan Aviation has devised a process for removal of Westwind cabin window screws. The process makes removing and installing windows easier and less time-consuming. The use of stainless steel screws also prevents the windows from being rust-stained.

Concerned Over Your Westwind’s NCS-31 System?
The NCS-31 system was last produced in 1984. Many parts for the system are no longer available and repairing the system is often impossible.
Duncan has developed a threetiered Collins Pro Line retrofit package to help Westwind operators clean up their bulky instrument panels. All three packages include the fabrication of a new center panel as well as replacement of all the existing wiring associated with the upgrade.

Duncan Satellites Have Your Install Needs Covered
Duncan-Las Vegas, a full-service avionics shop located at McCarran Airport, joins a growing list of facilities that provide full installation service for avionics systems from a variety of manufacturers, including FMS, TCAS, GPWS, GPS, AFIS, RVSM upgrades, inflight telephones and AirShow.
Other Duncan satellite avionics facilities with installation capabilities include Van Nuys (VNY); Teterboro (TEB); Dallas (DAL); and Denver (SDN). Installation activity at Duncan satellite facilities is supported by the engineering experience of Duncan’s major aircraft maintenance and modification facilities in Lincoln, NE, and Battle Creek, MI. Duncan holds more than 400 STC’s and has a wide range of experience in avionics system installations and design.
DFDR & 120 Minute CVR
To comply with European JAA requirements, Duncan has certified the AlliedSignal Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR). Duncan’s certification was FAA/JAA approved with an STC. In this DFDR installation, analog and digital data is fed into a Teledyne Avionics Flight Data Acquisition Unit (FDAU). The FDAU outputs digital data for recording by the DFDR. The DFDR & FDAU were installed in a newly designed aft storage box that fits below the extended range fuel tanks.
Through a complementary FAA/JAA certification, Duncan has installed a Universal CVR-120 two hour cockpit voice recorder. This installation required relocation of the existing microphone location to ensure good voice quality recordings.

Noise Reduction A Future Reality For 1125s
Duncan Aviation has partnered with Flight Environments of Paso Robles, CA, to study and engineer a sound package for the IA1 1125-SPX series aircraft. Initial testing and design have been completed. Sound reduction estimates for the new package have not been released but are anticipated to be significantly lower than current levels.
