IAI 1124 & Jetstar Operators
- Lanny Renshaw
Honeywell Service Bulletin 79-3066R1, install lube with regulator and scavenge pump (oil lube pump), P/N 3060785-2, is not approved for installation on IAI 1124 & Jetstar aircraft due to clearance problems inside the nacelle area. When ordering a 3071949-11/-12 oil pump, make sure to give the aircraft make/model or they may supercede it to the new replacement oil pump (P/N 3060785- 2). Currently, Honeywell has a note in their parts ordering system not to supercede 3071949-11/-12 for the above aircraft models.
Westwind STC
- Tim Garity
There is an existing STC to install seat belts on the potty seat. I recently learned that the STC only applies to the 1123 and 1124 aircraft, not the 1124A models, due to some structural differences. The STC can be installed in an 1124A, but the potty structure has to be evaluated and approved by an engineer before installation.
Easier Access
- Tim Garity
On earlier Astras, getting in and out of the cockpit can be difficult and often the glareshield takes a beating in the process.
Some newer aircraft have a handle installed by the wet compass, making it much easier to enter and exit. Duncan Aviation has installed these handles in several aircraft. If you are interested in an installation or have questions, please contact Tim Klenke at 800.228.4277 for a quote.

Consider A Digital RTU Upgrade
- Kim Konopnicki
An RTU upgrade will consolidate your control units and reduce pilot workload. And, in most cases, this installation can be done during a standard inspection downtime. Please call Dennis DeCook for more information at 800.525.2376, ext. 8418.
