New Challenger Flap System Capability

In response to our experience with troubleshooting difficulties, Duncan Aviation technicians have experienced difficulties analyzing intermittent squawks associated with the Challenger 600 series flap systems. Because this dynamic environment is exposed to extreme temperatures, high loading and vibration, diagnosis is difficult and the cause is never obvious.

As with any aircraft system, technicians must be able to duplicate the squawk in order to interpret the failure and determine the cause. Members of the Challenger program at Duncan Aviation have developed a portable flap systems test bench that will test, diagnose and provide immediate feedback with increased accuracy, significantly reducing downtime and frustration. This new system does not require a test flight for analysis, thereby eliminating operational concerns and associated flight expenses.

If all the necessary parts are available, troubleshooting and repair of this squawk can be completed in three working days.
