Door Seal Grommet Condition
An important part of your cabin door seal pressurization system is the door hinge grommet. The grommet is visible with the door in the open position. These grommets become distorted with age and use, or are painted over during rework of the door frame. The grommet can be changed quickly and costs about a dollar. Part number of the grommet is MS35489-41.

Proper Tire Pressure Can Save More Than Your Tires!
Cessna has specific tire pressure guidelines that should be followed when you operate your Citation aircraft. The maintenance manual provides specific tire pressures for your model aircraft. In the 500 series maintenance manual, you can look in 32-40-00 for the guidelines for all three tires. For all other series aircraft, including 650s, you can find the answer in 32-41-00. If the tire pressure falls below 10% of normal tire pressure, the manual recommends that you change the tire due to excessive side wall flexing during landing. Proper tire pressures can extend the life of your tires. Proper pressure not only helps get proper tire wear patterns, but also helps prevent premature tire failure. One more note to remember, always use a pressure gauge that is routinely checked for accuracy, a pencil type gauge does not achieve the accuracy needed for your tires.

Need Some Upgrade Info About The New Style Inlets For Your Ultra?
Service Bulletin 560-54-01 provides information about installing a new style inlet on the 560 Ultra aircraft. Service Bulletin 560-54- 03 provides details about an upgrade to these new style inlets. Service Bulletin 560-54-03 covers two different upgrades in the same bulletin. One of those upgrades is the addition of sheet metal doublers at the attach point of the inlet barrel and the leading edge of the inlet. This bulletin is currently on hold due to a second modification that was part of the bulletin. Cessna structural support in Wichita, however, recommends that the doubler installation be complied with on the inlets. Cessna will pay a warranty claim to install the doublers to prevent any further problem in that area. Cessna is still working on the portion of the bulletin that caused it to be put on hold in the first place.
