Aircraft Market Summary
2009 was a year for the record books for business aviation. From OEMs to MROs and corporate flight departments to small business owners, the economic slowdown had far-reaching effects. Although the industry has experienced a mild recovery, we enter 2010 with cautious optimism.
However, businesses and individuals serious about purchasing pre-owned business aircraft are showing greater confidence in the market. This is reflected in the nearly three-fold increase in aircraft sales transactions that occurred in the first quarter of this year as compared to the same period in 2009. It will be the buyers that act early who will capture the best deals, as the number of available aircraft for sale continues on the downward trend we've seen through all of last year.
