A Look At SB 72-3613
AlliedSignal released SB 72-3596 early ‘96 to replace the number 1, 3, 4 and 5 carbon seals with the new design segmented carbon seal and ceramic runners. Under this service bulletin, all four seals were replaced, requiring a core entry.
AlliedSignal has now released SB 72-3613, allowing us to replace the number 1 and 3 carbon seals at the next MPI or if you develop a problem between maintenance events. When the bulletin is accomplished, several other bulletins must also be complied with. These bulletins involve rework of the Fan Support Housing, the Breather Pressurizing Valve and rework of the Transfer Gearbox. AlliedSignal has issued special pricing on the new parts needed. Contact Jon Dodson/Cecil Sloan for info, at 1.800.228.4277.
Reduce Your Warranty Worries
If your Falcon is still under factory warranty, Duncan can handle those pesky warranty entries for you. As an authorized Falcon Service Center, Duncan can order the necessary materials, perform the services and administer the paperwork required to comply with parts issues, Service Bulletins, Service Information letters or any other warranty issue. Warranty items will appear as NO CHARGE on your invoice because we handle everything-start to finish.
If you need to schedule your Falcon for any warranty work or simply want to discuss our repair capabilities, please contact Jeff Manion at 1.800.228.4277.
Log Book Research
Log book research is a laborious task. Often during the process, additional items are found that can cost you money and additional downtime. We strongly recommend that aircraft log books be sent to your maintenance facility at least two weeks in advance of arrival. This gives the inspection department time to complete a thorough research of your aircraft and advise you of additional items ahead of your arrival date. This will save you time and potential money.
