Air Supply Pulsation
— John Kauppila
During a recent visit to Duncan Aviation, a GIIB flight crew reported the cabin supply air to intermittently pulsate. The problem was duplicated during the ground run operational test and would occur with the APU or either engine supplying bleed air. Further troubleshooting revealed the water separator anti-ice control valve to be faulty. This valve has an oil-filled dampening chamber, which was found to be leaking oil. The valve was replaced and an operational test was performed.

Consider a Digital RTU Upgrade During Your Next Downtime
— Dennis DeCook
An upgrade to digital RTUs will consolidate your control units and reduce pilot workload. And, in most cases, this installation can be done during a standard inspection downtime. Please call Dennis DeCook for more information at 800.525.2376, ext. 8418.

Overheat Switches
— John Kauppila
The testing of system and component overheat switches is normally a part of the 24 month inspection process. We have the testing equipment in-house, to perform the trip point check on these switches. Our accessory shop can support a quick turn time in most cases.
High Speed Data Systems
— Dennis DeCook
If you have ever considered a high speed data system for your aircraft, but ruled it out because the price was too high, you may want to reconsider. Prices are coming down while the technology is getting better.
So, if your business would benefit from having email, web and video conference access while you’re in the air, please contact Dennis DeCook at 800.525.2376, ext. 8418.
