Hawker 800 Aileron X-Ray NDT 57-50-107 Inspection
Duncan has found water ingress indications in the honeycomb areas of several ailerons at the 2400hr/48m o structura l Xray inspection. An RIL repair drawing is obtainable from Raytheon’s RDO department to open the area in question to investigate the water ingress. It has been our experience that corrosion in varying degrees has been found on the inside of the lower aileron skins. This corrosion is not visable on the X-rays.

Hawker Foldout Table Evolution
Replacement foldout tables are available for your Hawker cabin. Table mechanisms have evolved quite a bit in recent years. New rack and pinion mechanisms make deploying a table a predictable pleasure, instead of nervous exercise. Hawker Operators: Do You Know Where Your Aircraft Maintenance Manual Addenda Is?
Aircraft that have gone through a completions center, other than a factory center, should have been furnished with an addenda. It contains information relevant to the maintenance, inspection and overhaul time limits of custom installed equipment on your aircraft.
An example of this is the cabin air recirculation fan installation. The Raytheon IPC shows a turbine type fan installation (P/N 45C3-111) that is subject to a 1,000 running hour/2 year overhaul time limit as listed in the Raytheon maintenance schedule. We have found an axial fan installation (P/N 0901-2) in most of the aircraft we have completed major maintenance on. It is not listed in the Raytheon maintenance schedule. Be aware of other equipment that may need to be inspected and maintained that is not listed in the Raytheon maintenance schedule.

RVSM Paint Caution
As more aircraft are certified for Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM), operators should be careful when repainting their aircraft to ensure the new paint conforms with the Raytheon RVSM criteria.
As part of the RVSM certification process, the contour of the fuselage in certain areas is measured to check for deformation or other conditions that may affect the accuracy of the static system. The RVSM SB for Hawker 800s (SB 34-311OR 3 or SB 34-3166, depending on avionics) specifically addresses the area around the static ports concerning inspections for paint abnormalities such as runs, bubbles and chipping. The Hawker 1000 SB (SB 34-3216) mandates the same types of inspections around the pitot static masts.
To make certain the aircraft fuselage meets RVSM standards after a repaint, consider reinspecting the fuselage and make a log entry detailing action taken. Also, keep paint in the affected areas touched up as part of the normal maintenance procedures.
