Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services Releases Two STCs for Honeywell Aerospace FMS NZ 6.1.1 & FANS

Duncan Aviation Engineering & Certification Services is pleased to announce it has revised two Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs): One for the Honeywell Flight Management System (FMS) and the other for Future Air Navigation System (FANS). The revisions to the STCs allow Challenger 601 (CL-601-3A/R variant) owner/operators to upgrade their existing NZ-2010 FMS to version 6.1.1.

Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services Amends STC Adding Support For Honeywell PEAF

Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services is pleased to announce that it has completed an amendment for its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Honeywell Primus Elite in the Embraer Legacy 600. The amended STC—the original was completed in November 2017—is for use on an Embraer Legacy 600 and provides the option for the Primus Elite Advanced Features (PEAF).

Duncan Aviation was recently recognized by Bombardier for its performance as a top authorized service facility in the support of Bombardier business jet customers. Judged on a set of criteria that included superior quality, performance, and effective customer support, Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, Nebraska, facility was named the winner of both the Overall and the North American categories of the 10th Annual Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF) Excellence Awards.

Duncan Aviation Upgrades CMS With Honeywell Ovation Components & Alto Aviation Cadence Switches

Earlier this fall, the capable avionics technicians at Duncan Aviation’s full-service facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, upgraded the Cabin Management System (CMS) for a Challenger 605 with components from the Honeywell Ovation and Cadence switches from Alto Aviation. The owner of the aircraft, who was facing obsolescence issues with his current switches and CMS screens, worked with Duncan Aviation’s Avionics Sales Representative Scott Kruce to select the necessary components to upgrade the system.

Duncan Aviation Develops ACA Ionizer Installation Packages for Challenger Aircraft

As the pandemic continues unabated, Duncan Aviation is doing its part to keep aviation enthusiasts safe in their aircraft. Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services and Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) departments created an installation package for the Aviation Clean Air (ACA) ionization system for Challenger 300 and 350 aircraft. The packages include everything necessary for installing the ACA Ionizer system, including the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), the ionizers, and PMA parts kits.

Duncan Aviation’s Provo FBO Now Louie Alliance Member and Offers De-Icing Services

During the months since the Duncan Aviation’s full-service Fixed Base Operator (FBO) rolled open its hangar doors in Provo, Utah, it has experienced incremental growth. The facility is now a member of the Fly Louie Alliance for Part 135 operators, which means Duncan Aviation’s name is on a national registry that informs transcontinental flyers that Duncan Aviation is an option for quality fuel in Provo.
