Duncan Aviation Announces RVSM Group Operational STC for Westwind 1124
April 3, 2003
LINCOLN, NEB. - Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce RVSM group certification for the Westwind 1124. This certification is tied to the previous 1124 equipment certification the company earned in 2002. These certifications allow Westwind 1124 operations in all RVSM-mandated regions at preferred altitudes. Two STCs are required - one for equipment approval (ST01516CH-D) and one for operational approval (ST01150WI). Duncan Aviation's RVSM solution allows operations in every active RVSM region including U.S. airspace (DRVSM), which is slated for activation in 2005.
"We are pleased to expand our RVSM program to include 1124 group certification," says Ron Hall, Duncan Aviation Modifications Salesperson. "With the completion of the 1124A group in 2004, a lengthy list of Westwind STCs, and complete engine and airframe maintenance capabilities, we are one of the few one-stop Westwind shops in the world." For more information about the RVSM mandate and how it will affect your flight operations, visit www.DRVSM.com. In addition to the RVSM solution, Duncan Aviation can perform nearly any avionics installation for the Westwind including TCAS II, TAWS/EGPWS, radar/MFD, 8.33.FM immunity, AHARS and FMS upgrades. Duncan Aviation's high-quality avionics installations and modifications are available at its Lincoln, Nebraska, headquarters, its Battle Creek, Michigan, facility and several of its satellite avionics shops including: Teterboro, NJ; Van Nuys, CA; Dallas/Ft.
