Product Improvement: Aft Cabin Blower Assembly (Lear PN 6600112-2 or Electromech PN EM601)
September 10, 2004
LINCOLN, NEB. — To increase reliability and to lower operating costs, Electromech Technologies has implemented design changes to Lear PN 6600112-2 or Electromech PN EM601. The changes involve replacing the original “squirrel cage” type fan wheels with a heavier wheel. The improved design wheel is not as susceptible to cracking and damage as the lighter weight wheels were. With the new wheels, the blower maintains a better balance for quieter operation and longer life. Duncan Aviation and Electromech Technologies have verified increased reliability and lower operating costs with these new blowers. The newer style unit is available for immediate exchange and will result in a quieter and more reliable cabin blower.
As an authorized Electromech Technologies Sales and Service Center, Duncan Aviation can exchange the older units with the newly improved design, saving operators time and money. The improved wheels and overhaul procedure are available only when the units are overhauled by Electromech Technologies.
