Duncan Aviation Announces Entirely New Falcon 50 Interior
October 12, 2004
LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation’s Duncan Design has developed and installed an entirely new Falcon 50 shell kit that completely replaces the interior. The newest addition to The Duncan Design Collection, the interior offers more headroom in the center aisle and seated positions, up and downwash LED lighting, new PSUs with integrated gaspers and LED reading lights among other commonly requested features. The Duncan Design Collection is a gathering of original designs, vendor products and materials selected by the award-winning team as the best in the industry.
The new shell package has been in development for more than a year and was first installed this summer at Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, Nebraska, facility. Since finalizing the design, several operators have shown great interest in the interior, one of which is currently being installed in a Hewlett-Packard-owned Falcon during a C-check.
Duncan Design’s Falcon 50 kit builds on the success and technology of our past shell kits for the Falcon and other models including the very popular Lear 30-series Silhouette Headliner, an industry-leading Duncan Design product. Every Duncan Design Collection component is developed with an eye for design, fit, function and style. Further, the Collection is set apart by its masterful blend of ergonomics and maintenance, rooted in our broad experience with nearly every corporate aircraft model.
“Over the years, we frequently heard the same requests from Falcon 50 operators,” says Tracey Boesch, Duncan Aviation Completions Sales Representative. “They want more headroom, up and downwash lighting and easier maintenance. This package meets these needs and more.”
“This kit creates an entirely new Falcon 50 cabin experience,” says Mary Lee, Duncan Design team member. “It brings the cabin into the 21st century and we believe the industry will share our enthusiasm for the features the new kit delivers.”
Lyle Schueth, Lead Interior Completion Engineer says, “This project was a concerted effort from broad disciplines within Duncan Aviation including production, interior design, systems design, structural/electrical/oxygen engineering and sales. Each team rose to the occasion to create a new shell kit for the Falcon 50 unlike any in the industry.”
The Duncan Design team creates cabin designs and exterior paint schemes for corporate and private aircraft. Backed by Duncan Aviation’s engineering teams, Duncan Design has created many interiors that incorporate STC’d and PMA’d components fabricated by Duncan Aviation.
Duncan Design employs two- and three-dimensional CAD software programs that allow designs to be viewed before they exist. In addition, CAD technology, combined with Duncan Aviation’s CNC technology, facilitates interior component design and pre-construction long before the aircraft arrives—a process that radically reduces downtimes.
