Duncan Aviation Names Steve Craig DAS Administrator

LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation announces the promotion of Steve Craig to the position of DAS (Designated Alteration Station) Administrator at its full-service facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Craig has more than 17 years of aviation experience, seven of which have been with Duncan Aviation. As DAS Administrator, he will coordinate all Lincoln, Nebraska-based avionics STC (Supplemental Type Certification) activities with the Wichita ACO. Upon completion of STC projects, Craig will also provide final approval on behalf of the FAA.
Craig has held several positions on Duncan Aviation's Engineering Team in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, is an A&P, IA, and holds an FCC license and a systems and equipment delegation (DER).

DAS authorization allows the facility to approve STC projects internally on behalf of the FAA, greatly reducing the time required to complete new STCs and reduces FAA workloads. Duncan Aviation's facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, has been a DAS facility for several years and is administrated by Pete Phillips.

These services include airframe, engine, avionics installations, interior and paint completions/modifications, avionics/instrument and accessory/propeller repair/overhaul and parts support. Complete service facilities are located in Lincoln, Neb., and Battle Creek, Mich. Additional locations include 21 satellite avionics facilities located throughout the United States, a line service/regional support operation in Kalamazoo, Mich., and Lincoln-based Parts Support Services, a division that sells and consigns general aviation parts to aircraft operators and service organizations worldwide.
