October 15, 2006
LINCOLN, NEBR—Duncan Aviation has contracted with Zurich, Switzerland-based CAT Aviation Ltd to install and certify the latest generation of the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21/IDS in their Collins-equipped Hawker 800A. This installation will be performed at Duncan Aviation's Battle Creek, Michigan facility.
This certification includes four of the Collins Pro Line 21/IDS 8x10-inch active-matrix LCDs. The LCDs will be used as Primary Flight Displays and Multi-Function Displays. The very latest software allows the mechanical engine instruments to be eliminated with the engine parameters displayed on the MFDs. Dual IFIS-5000 File Servers will be installed providing Electronic Charts, Graphical Satellite Weather, and enhanced moving maps.
The RVSM approval will be refreshed to include the LCDs. CAT-II and Steep Approach will be a part of the certification.
