Duncan Aviation Educates Potential Customers About the Advantages of Blended Winglets
May 14, 2012
LINCOLN, NEB. — As a leading installer of blended winglets for business aircraft, Duncan Aviation is educating potential customers about the advantages of winglet installations, including improved aircraft performance, increased resale value and lower carbon-dioxide emissions, through a field guide published at www.DuncanAviation.aero/fieldguides.
In the fall of 2011, Duncan Aviation was the first to install Aviation Partners’ High-Mach Blended Winglets in Falcon 900 aircraft. In the spring of 2009, Duncan Aviation was the first service provider to successfully install the winglets for the Falcon 2000 series. To-date, Duncan Aviation has completed a majority of the total industry after-market installations on Falcon aircraft.
"Duncan Aviation has performed nearly all of the Falcon 2000 and 2000EX after-market winglet modifications completed over the last two-and-a-half years," says Pete Hubbard, Duncan Aviation Falcon Service Sales Rep. "These operators have been quite pleased with the installations, telling us that not only do they like the aesthetics of the winglets but that they have noticed a significant performance increase and fuel savings within the first few flight hours after installation.
"Much of the credit for these successful installations goes to the expertise of Duncan Aviation’s 40 structures technicians," Hubbard continues. "Their expertise and reputation help make Duncan Aviation the place to come for winglet installations."
Falcon 900 and 2000 series blended winglet installations take about four weeks to complete and, depending on schedule and workscope, can be combined with projects that share similar downtimes, including C Checks, phone system installations, Wi-Fi or High-Speed Data installations, interior refurbishments and dry bay modifications.
In addition to the Falcon 900 and 2000/2000EX winglets, Duncan Aviation is an installation center for API’s Hawker 800 series Blended Winglet program.
