Match Capabilities with Requirements
There are literally dozens of facilities vying for your business. Depending on the size of your workscope, only a few may be equipped to effectively provide the service and expertise that you require. Before you go through the process of requesting a quote from prospective facilities, be sure their capabilities match your requirements.
Factor in The Unknowns
Can the MRO handle the unknowns and surprises that come up on most projects? Do they have the experience, tooling, facilities, and capacity to handle the unexpected. Specific items to consider include:
- Structural repair capability
- Structural repair tooling and fixtures
- Electrical troubleshooting expertise
- Access to and experience with OEM engineering
- In house engineering and certification capability
“They are too expensive!”
Your budget is very important to you and the company you work for. But, never let price keep you from checking out a MRO. Instead, share your budget requirements and project objectives with them. Together, you may come up with efficiency savings to get your project completed within your budget and with all of your desires.
