Duncan Aviation Core ValuesTeam members express why the company's Core Values resonate so much with their teams and how they can be seen in every aspect of their workday. |
[Luke Swager] - Duncan Aviation has a lot of core values. The one that really relates in my job is that we value "honesty, integrity, loyalty and trust." And where that comes in my position is if I have that trust with a customer, if I have that loyalty from him, it makes his job a lot easier, it makes my job a lot easier, and lets him forget about his airplane and know that it's at Duncan Aviation.
[Travis Todd] - My favorite Duncan core value is to "deliver high quality products and services." We try to go to the customers' facilities and do a top-quality job in an efficient time as possible and leaving the airplane and their facilities in a better manner than we arrived.
[Karl Johnson] - Our Rapid Response is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. When the phone rings and the customer needs us we run. You have to be there. You have to take care of his problem because he needs to get back in the air right away.
[Bryan Hart] - One of Duncan's core values is to "lead through action and innovation." I really relate to that value in the fact that the experience that I acquired through the military and my previous positions in management that you need to lead your team members.
[Melanie Gary] - I enjoy working for a company who "supports our community and encourages volunteerism." I've worked on the United Way campaign since I began working at Duncan. There's a whole variety of ways that we help eachother in our community, as the Duncan community, as well as the community at large. One of the things that I really enjoyed was helping with the airlift for the Special Olympics. It was a fun thing. There were so many of us involved in it and it was a great activity to see all the coordination that went getting olympians from all across the country to Lincoln to participate. Just seeing those people and the excitement being able to be on a jet... it was good for all of us.
[Karl Johnson] - We had about a dozen pilot whales beach themselves down in The Keys. I volunteered my time to help support that group and hopefully turn them around and turn them back into the ocean. It's part of giving back. I like that about Duncan.
[Nikki McClish] - The core value that I identify the most with is "maintaining a team approach." I feel that in the upholstery shop we have very solid teams and the support that we get from our team really affects our end product. And being a strong team in the support of others has really helped us be successful in all the projects that we've done.
[Jeff Aman] - We've got such a diverse group of people to draw knowledge from and it it helps with our day-to-day activities and it helps feed the rest of our core values.
[Luke Swager] - I'm proud of the work I do when a customer at the end of the job has a smile on his face and is shaking the hands of all the team members who worked on his airplane. I'm just a small part of it. That's what makes me proud is to see the effect all these team members have on these customers.
[Marty O'Keefe] - One of the core values I identify with most is "focus on solutions and offer positive suggestions." You can't focus on the problem because it drags you down. You have to focus on how to fix it. That's one of the biggest things I've learned here at Duncan is not to focus on the problem.
[Tony Luke] - The core value that I like about Duncan is "we are proud to be the best." I think we find that customers want to come here all the time because they know we're going to produce a high-quality product for them. What's that saying, "often imitated, never duplicated?" I think that's what Duncan stands for.
