LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that it has completed hundreds of Gogo Inc. (NASDAQ: GOGO) Wi-Fi installations, and the most recent was in an Embraer Legacy 600. With Wi-Fi, cabin passengers can connect to the Internet, send text messages and emails, access news and weather information and obtain cockpit data.
“Our technical expertise on these installs has made us a premier partner with Gogo Business Aviation for providing high-performance broadband connectivity throughout the cabin,” says Dennis Kruse. “And in 2017, you’ll be able to increase your connectivity experience by trading in your current broadband unit through the Gogo loyalty program and upgrading to the new 4G 802.11ac Wi-Fi system.”
In addition to all of the current capabilities, the new Gogo Biz ®4G system will allow passengers to stream audio and video, send emails with attachments, browse the web, make voice calls and connect to a virtual private network (VPN).
The Wi-Fi installations can be completed at any of the company’s three main facilities in Battle Creek, Michigan, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Provo, Utah, and at any of the company’s more than 20 avoinics satellite shops located at busy airports around the United States (www.DuncanAviation.aero/locations/#satellites).
Demand for Wi-Fi remains strong, and Duncan Aviation holds Standard Type Certificates (STCs) for in-flight Wi-Fi for the following make/models: Hawker 750, 800XP, 850XP and 900XP; Falcon 900EX, 2000 and 2000EX; Cessna 525A, 525B, 680, 750 and 560XL; Challenger 300, 601-3A/R, 604 and 605; Global 7000 and 8000; Learjet 45; Embraer Phenom 300 and Legacy 600 and 650 and the Gulfstream GIV and GV.
