After A Little April Fool’s Joke, FAA Reiterates ADS-B Deadline Firm

Duncan Aviation laughed along with most of the rest of the business aviation industry on Sunday when an online industry news resource released information that the deadline for the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandate had been extended until 2040. Before the laughter died out, the FAA reiterated that the agency’s deadline will not change, saying, “We have a sense of humor, too, but an April Fool’s joke that the FAA is extending the ADS-B deadline is just that.”

Brad Sides Joins Duncan Aviation’s Airframe Service Sales Team

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce Brad Sides as the company’s newest Airframe Service Sales Rep in Lincoln, Nebraska. In his new position, Sides will assist Falcon airframe operators in planning for large airframe maintenance events, providing detailed technical quotes, answering their service and capability questions, and scheduling in their maintenance visits.

Duncan Aviation’s Georgia Avionics Satellite Shop Moves To A New Facility

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that its Satellite Avionics Shop in Atlanta, Georgia, has moved into a new facility at the Hill Aircraft Fixed Base Operator (FBO). Manager Edduyn Pita and his crew of avionics technicians have moved into a newer, bigger hangar owned by Hill Aircraft. Long-time Atlanta Satellite Shop customers need not worry about losing the convenience of the shop, as the new hangar is located on the same ramp as the previous shop and is less than two minutes from the satellite’s old hangar.

On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, during an in-booth reception at the 61st Annual Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas, Duncan Aviation was named a Gogo Business Aviation Top Dealer for 2017. Duncan Aviation received the highest Gogo Business Aviation dealer honor, The Gogo Business Aviation 51,000 Five. Representing a pinnacle of achievement, the award’s name was inspired by the highest altitude reached by aircraft in the business aviation industry–51,000 feet.
