In addition to Dassault Falcon Jet’s latest cold weather Service Advisory, care is needed when parking your F50 outside to make sure that snow or ice does not accumulate under the airbrakes.
The Falcon 50 does not benefit with an airbrake hold down accumulator and depends on a tight hydraulic system on the retract side of the airbrake actuators. If your airbrakes are creeping up overnight, try relieving the hydraulic tanks’ air head pressure after shut down. Make sure to re-service before engine and or standby pump start. If this keeps the airbrakes down, a hydraulic leak tightness check is needed to pinpoint which component of your airbrake system is at fault.
