Falcon 2000: Avoiding Upper Bucket to Pylon Interference

After removal and reinstallation of the after-bodies for maintenance or engine change, Falcon 2000 Maintenance Procedure 78-314, Fig. 4 has you check to make sure there is a gap of .25 inches or 6.5 mm between the top bucket angle bracket and the upper pylon skin. Not mentioned in the work card, but equally important is to ensure the two surfaces are level with one another.

If the bucket bracket is lower than the pylon skin, by even a small amount, the bracket will contact the composite upper pylon skin during deployment, causing damage. This bracket is slotted to allow vertical adjustment.
