During the general visual inspection of the high current feeder wires, Duncan Aviation technicians have noted the use of factory-installed Adel clamps with black rubber inserts. These rubber inserts stain the outer sheath of the wire making it appear overheated or burnt. The majority of time the staining is from the rubber on the clamp, but further inspection of the wire is needed to make sure an electrical short/overheating condition has not taken place.
