In the darkest part of the night, the lights on your aircraft are critical—not only for easier and safer taxiing and landing, but also so others are able to recognize and see you.
Citation operators now have another option when it comes to aircraft lighting. LoPresti Aviation has made available an upgrade on the BoomBeam HID light kit for Citations. From what I’ve read and heard from a few Citation operators, the BoomBeam lights are an improvement to the original equipment lights. They have a longer range and a five-year or 5,000-hour warranty on the kit.
I found this video that demonstrates the LoPresti BoomBeam HID on a Citation XLS, both before and after the upgrade.
Light kits for several make/model Citations are available through Duncan Aviation. They can be ordered and installed by you or added on as a part of your next Citation inspection.
