Honeywell issued Service Bulletin (SB) AS907-78-9008 on February 27, 2017. This is a Category 3 SB that is applicable to aircraft engines on Gulfstream G280 and Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft.
This SB calls for the aft scavenge tube assembly (PN 3038758-2) and mounting brackets (PN 3038765-1) to be removed and replaced with oil scavenge metal tube assembly (PN 3038758-4) and bracket (PN 3038765-3). The new scavenge tube and mounting brackets are rerouted at the combustor flange in order to improve the clearance to nearby components.
There is no compliance deadline for this SB and it can be performed at the operator’s discretion.
This Service Bulletin references SB AS907-76-9013 that changes the location of the W5 & OSSD (Overspeed Shutoff Detector) wire harness to increase its reliability and prevent failure in the high-heat environment in the engine.
