LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation recently completed a Falcon 7X refurbishment at its Battle Creek facility, marking a new milestone in its relationship with the aircraft’s owner. While the team had supported the customer with maintenance for years, this project was the first to include interior refurbishment alongside scheduled maintenance.
The work was performed in conjunction with the aircraft’s 2C inspection, creating an ideal opportunity to complete interior upgrades without additional downtime, maximizing the time when the aircraft cabin was already disassembled. Initially, the owner was hesitant to move forward with updates, but after reviewing material concepts presented by Duncan Aviation Lead Designer Jilli Sitkiewicz and Senior Completions & Modifications Sales Rep Tiffany Buschini, the vision quickly came together. Seeing how the refreshed interior could better reflect her personal style—and accommodate her growing family—helped solidify the decision to proceed.
The project focused on a partial interior refurbishment, including a complete soft goods replacement and a strip and refinish of the cabinetry. Closet interiors and countertops were intentionally left unchanged, demonstrating a thoughtful balance between modernization and preserving elements that were still performing well.
The resulting interior delivers a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Light, warm-toned materials create an open and inviting atmosphere, while a newly stained dark veneer introduces depth and contrast throughout the cabin. The redesigned seats feature a sleek, minimalistic profile, contributing to the overall modern feel.
Attention to detail is evident in elements like the carpet, which incorporates a subtle textured pattern that ties together the interior’s color palette. The upper sidewalls were finished in a textured fabric rather than a traditional Ultraleather, adding a softer, more comfortable feel to the cabin environment.
On the exterior, the aircraft retained its existing paint scheme, maintaining a familiar look while the interior transformation delivers a refreshed onboard experience.
By aligning the refurbishment with scheduled maintenance and guiding the customer through the design process, Duncan Aviation’s Battle Creek team delivered a personalized, elevated interior that blends comfort, style, and practicality—helping the owner helping the owner maximize the value of the aircraft while enhancing comfort and usability for years to come.
Operators planning Falcon 7X inspections can work with Duncan Aviation to incorporate interior upgrades into scheduled maintenance events, maximizing downtime and efficiency.
