LINCOLN, NEB — In an effort to make NBAA-BACE a more sustainable event, NBAA is offering exhibitors the opportunity to participate in the NBAA Green Pledge. Duncan Aviation has embraced this and will fulfill as many of the Green Pledge practices as possible in the company’s booth set-up and show activities.
For years, Duncan Aviation has been working toward environmentally friendlier processes and environments. Concrete examples in recent construction include treatment systems to responsibly dispose of hazardous waste, features that allow for daylight harvesting, radiant heating, LED lighting, and office materials and furnishings made from recycled goods. Other initiatives include using environmentally friendly products, supporting vendors who value sustainability, and encouraging recycling or re-use wherever possible. Duncan Aviation team members passionate about the environment and wanting to make a difference initially formed an active Green Team in 2006 to educate other team members about green initiatives and impact company procedures and policies, including formal company recycling processes that have kept tons of waste from entering community landfills.
