LINCOLN, NEB. — A Duncan Aviation avionics installation team from the company’s Satellite facility in Atlanta, Georgia, recently finished installing a Gogo AVANCE L5 in a customer’s Learjet 75 in their hangar in Birmingham, Alabama. The preliminary wiring work had been completed earlier at Duncan Aviation’s Satellite facility in Denver, Colorado, and the final installation of the AVANCE L5 box and MB13 antenna was completed after the FAA approved the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) in September.

Installing this system now ensures that our customers will avoid obsolescence issues as Gogo modernizes its Air-To-Ground (ATG) network with the activation of its new Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network in May 2026. Now, operators of Learjet 40/45/70/75 aircraft can upgrade to Gogo’s AVANCE L5 Wi-Fi system and remain connected to the LTE network during flight.

Duncan Aviation, an authorized Gogo dealer, has installed the AVANCE L5 system on hundreds of larger-capacity jets in the past several years. With the new equipment installed, passengers and crew aboard mid-sized aircraft, such as our customer’s Learjet 75, can achieve faster speeds, use more devices thanks to greater bandwidth, and enjoy streaming audio and video on their personal devices during flights, too. The AVANCE L5 keeps passengers and crew connected to Gogo’s LTE network, and provides the opportunity to transition to the AVANCE LX5 system, once it becomes available.

Although developed by a third-party engineering firm, the licenses for the STC and the PMA installation kits for the AVANCE L5 are available exclusively through Duncan Aviation.

Duncan Aviation is offering operators the opportunity to schedule time ahead of Gogo’s switch to LTE and upgrade their Gogo in-flight connectivity systems. In May 2026, more than 2,000 aircraft equipped with ATG equipment will lose their in-flight connectivity. Duncan Aviation’s hangar capacity and available labor will be limited the closer we get, so don’t delay: the phase-out of the classic ATG network is less than eight months away.

When Gogo’s AVANCE LX5 Wi-Fi system is available, passengers and crew will be able take advantage of the greater speeds of Gogo’s 5G network with the replacement of the Line Replacement Unit (LRU).

By upgrading from Gogo ATG to the Gogo AVANCE system, Gogo is offering up to $50,000 in rebates. To receive the rebates, the Gogo promo form and the purchase order for parts must be submitted before December 31, 2025.
