LINCOLN, NEB — For the last four years, Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services department has been working on projects throughout the aerospace industry. The team of engineers and certification specialists support Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and various companies throughout the business aviation industry.

In the last year, the team has responded to requests for an array of projects, including completing 18 new and amended Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for customers in the industry, with eight additional projects in progress, and more than a dozen new proposals for STCs in the initial stages.

“Nearly five years ago we created the team in response to the significant demand we had seen throughout the industry for qualified engineering and certification professionals,” says Manager of Engineering & Certification Business Development in Lincoln, Nebraska, Shawn Carraher. “Duncan Aviation is an Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), and our teams of experts have worked with our partners around the world. The team has consistently exceeded expectations from the start. Demand for our services is steady, and we continue to seek out new partnerships to support the needs of the aviation community.”

Duncan Aviation has been a leading service provider in the business aviation community for more than 63 years. Since the inception of the Engineering & Certification Services department, team members have worked on aircraft systems and structures modifications projects and approved design changes for interiors/airframe modifications and system installations/upgrades with an exemplary record of safety and compliance.

“Since 2009, we have been able to act on behalf of the FAA through our ODA. This delegated authority lets us certify Major Repairs and Alterations (MRA), Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), and STC projects,” said Michael Hill, Duncan Aviation’s Enterprise Engineering Manager. “Our performance and the trust that we have with the FAA allows us to undertake and complete all kinds of diverse and oftentimes complicated projects. Duncan Aviation has the authority, experience and resources to offer this certification authority to just about anyone in the industry. We look forward to offering our assistance and leadership to anyone who needs an ally in the world of certification.”
