Duncan Aviation is the only authorized independent service center in the US for mid-cabin Gulfstream aircraft (except for the Gulfstream 280 platform). For operators, this provides greater flexibility in where and how their aircraft is serviced, while maintaining full compliance with Gulfstream-approved processes, tooling, and technical requirements—helping reduce scheduling constraints and support aircraft availability.See our full capabilities here.

Aviation has always inspired more than engineering—it’s also shaped culture and creativity. Robert and Karen Duncan, longtime art collectors, have shared that belief by supporting public artwork that reflects both aviation and community pride. One example is Pitch, Roll & Yaw, a 23-foot-tall, 14,000-pound metal paper airplane sculpture located near the Lincoln Airport.
“The paper airplane has been around for more than 2,100 years, in one form or another,” says Connie Duncan. “This iconic image signifies the joy and wonder that attracts many to aviation. We are so honored to take part in this project and provide the city with a piece of aviation everyone can enjoy.”

In 1998, Duncan Aviation acquired competitor Kal-Aero in Battle Creek, Michigan, a privately-owned MRO with capabilities similar to our Lincoln operation. The acquisition expanded our footprint with a second full-service maintenance location and increased capacity for customers needing additional scheduling options.
Even more important than the facilities were the people. Welcoming the Kal-Aero team and mindfully integrating the Duncan Aviation culture there took more than a year of intentional effort, focused on aligning values, attitudes, and best practices. That deliberate approach strengthened relationships, preserved local expertise, and ensured consistency in how work is performed and customers are supported. The acquisition also included Kal-Aero’s FBO in Kalamazoo, Michigan, further extending service capabilities in the region.
Today, Duncan Aviation-Battle Creek continues to grow. More than 780 team members in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo offer services that closely mirror those available at the Lincoln headquarters, delivered with a consistent culture, shared standards, and the same level of quality and care.
