Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that its Engineering/Certification and Avionics Installation teams in Battle Creek, Michigan, recently worked with Honeywell Aerospace, Turbojet Engineering, and Beck’s Hybrid to develop a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to add Synthetic Vision System (SVS) to a Honeywell flight deck on a Learjet 45 series aircraft. The Honeywell flight deck had been previously installed in the customer’s aircraft, and the cooperative effort involved upgrading the system and installing the SVS component.

The book introduces readers to CMSes, or Cabin Management Systems, which control all of the other powered devices in a cabin, such as lighting, shades, audio/visual sources, and climate equipment. Through the CMS, passengers in the cabin can also control the in-flight entertainment, such as what they watch on the bulkhead-mounted High-Definition (HD) television, the volume of the speakers, or what content is streaming from a media source.

Duncan Aviation in partnership with Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation has developed Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and installation packages for the Aviation Clean Air (ACA) ionization system for three Dassault Falcon models: the 7X, 2000/2000EX and 900/900EX aircraft, including all EASy variants. The Duncan Aviation Engineering and Certification Services team, in collaboration with the Duncan Aviation Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), has secured FAA approval for all three STCs and is now working on approvals from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), and Brazil’s Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC).
