Duncan Aviation’s Provo, Utah, FBO Facility Receives IS-BAH Stage I Accreditation

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that its MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility in Provo, Utah, has received Stage I accreditation from the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH). The Duncan Aviation facility in Provo is only the second MRO in the United States to have earned this accreditation, and the first was the full-service Duncan Aviation facility in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Proceeds from Children’s Book by Karen Duncan to Benefit the Arts and Business Aviation Education

Karen Duncan, wife of Robert Duncan, Chairman Emeritus of Duncan Aviation, recently published a children’s book about the family’s beloved dog, Chica. The book was published through the Clarinda Carnegie Art Museum (CCAM), which is a nonprofit organization founded by the Duncans. Half of the book’s $20 purchase price goes to the museum. For each $20 book purchased at Duncan Aviation, the company will donate an additional $10 to the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) Business Aviation Scholarship.

Duncan Aviation-Provo Features Expanded FBO Services

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that although construction continues at its third, full-service Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) in Provo, Utah, the fully functioning, 90,000-gallon capacity fuel farm is online and its staffed, experienced Line Services Team is ready to help with aircraft fueling needs. Additionally, one new maintenance hangar and the new paint hangar are accessible from the ramp at the Provo Municipal Airport in Provo, Utah.

Duncan Aviation Part of FAA Voluntary SMS Program

As a company with Part 145 repair station authority for many of its facilities, Duncan Aviation has been working closely with the FAA in the development of a Safety Management System (SMS) for all operations of its Lincoln, Nebraska, location. A Safety Management System refers to a set of formal processes and tools used to manage a structured safety program. Currently, no FAA regulation requires repair stations to have SMS, but the FAA offers a voluntary program that Duncan Aviation has been participating in for several months.

Duncan Aviation Line Service Teams Complete Gulfstream and FlightSafety International Training

Duncan Aviation line service team members from Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Lincoln, Nebraska, recently completed specialized training from Gulfstream and FlightSafety International. The training they received included Gulfstream aircraft parking, fueling, towing and mooring, water servicing, lavatory servicing, window cleaning, and snow and ice removal for the Gulfstream G150, G200, G280, G450, G550, and G650 models.
