Duncan Aviation and Gogo Business Aviation Collaborate on ST 4300 STC for Challenger Aircraft

Duncan Aviation and Gogo Business Aviation recently worked together to develop a new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installing the Gogo ST 4300 Iridium Satcom Satellite Telecommunication System configuration for Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS) 1/A+ in a Bombardier Challenger 604 variant (Challenger 605 model). This new STC includes Challenger 605 aircraft, serial numbers 5701 through 5990.

Duncan Aviation Part of FAA Voluntary SMS Program

As a company with Part 145 repair station authority for many of its facilities, Duncan Aviation has been working closely with the FAA in the development of a Safety Management System (SMS) for all operations of its Lincoln, Nebraska, location. A Safety Management System refers to a set of formal processes and tools used to manage a structured safety program. Currently, no FAA regulation requires repair stations to have SMS, but the FAA offers a voluntary program that Duncan Aviation has been participating in for several months.

Duncan Aviation Installs Industry First Media Input Panel

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce it has installed an industry-first Rosen Aviation Media Input Panel (MIP) in a Falcon 2000. The panel lets passengers plug in a High-Definition Multimedia Input (HDMI) device, such as an Apple TV, ROKU, Chromecast or Blu-Ray Disc Player, into the High Definition (HD) input port to view HD content on a Rosen Aviation HD/Smart Monitor. The MIP also allows for input from a USB device to view HD content on new Rosen Aviation Smart Monitors.
