Duncan Aviation Named North American Winner of Bombardier Authorized Service Facility Excellence Award

Duncan Aviation was recently recognized by Bombardier Aviation for its performance as a top authorized service facility in the support of Bombardier customers. Judged on a set of criteria that included quality, compliance, customer satisfaction and customer influence, Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, Nebraska, facility was named the winner of the North American category of the 9th Annual Bombardier Authorized Service Facility Excellence Awards.

12 Days Left In 2019 & ADS-B Mandate Deadline Looms Large: Make Sure You Are Compliant

During the past several years, Duncan Aviation has encouraged aircraft owner/operators who upgraded to Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) prior to 2015 to make sure they’re in compliance with the FAA’s ADS-B mandate. The FAA’s mandate deadline is 12 days away and goes into effect at midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 31. It specifies transponders must be manufactured or upgraded to the DO-260B standard.

Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services department is pleased to announce the Top 5 most-in-demand Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) during the 2019 calendar year. This year, with the FAA’s Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandate deadline just weeks away, you may have expected to see a few of the Top 5 selling STCs related to ADS-B Out, and there are two. The other three STCs rounding out the top five are for the Gogo Business Aviation’s AVANCE L5 wi-fi system, for which demand has been steady.

Duncan Aviation recently delivered two aircraft with interior elements that were created with hydrographic printing. The Gulfstream 150 and Challenger 300 are the first aircraft to receive countertops that were created with hydrographic technology, a new finish option recently implemented by Duncan Aviation interior experts.

With Four Weeks Left In 2019, Duncan Aviation Is Hearing About Delays In Equipment Delivery Dates

As we stop counting weeks and start counting days until the FAA’s January 1, 2020, deadline for upgrading aircraft to Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, Duncan Aviation has experienced delays in equipment delivery dates. Anticipating this possibility earlier this year, the company invested in Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) sensors and recievers from a variety of manufacturers.
